Complete makeover of a 240 sq m space from warehouse into offices for a company that deals with medical information and organized medical conferences.
Located in corso Regina Margherita, in Torino, the space develops on two levels: the ground floor houses the office area, whereas the basement is designed for the vocational and training courses and events.
The ground floor is featured by a large space which takes light from wide glass windows on the western side and an overall five-meter height. To exploit the potential of such remarkable height a mezzanine was built to house the owners’ working stations and a small private sitting room.
The custom-made iron staircase that leads to the mezzanine is placed right in the middle of the room, thus becoming the most connoting element.
Access to the basement has been created by cutting he vault separating the two levels and consolidating the intervention by means of an reinforced concrete staircase with the double purpose of connecting he two spaces and reinforcing the vault.
