A kind of blue
An apartment of 130 sqm for a childless couple in Rivoli (Turin - Italy). The project stems from the desire of the owners to combine two identical, specular apartments. Based on the customer requirements, the common areas, i.e. living room, lounge and kitchen – the latter being the real beating heart of the house – take on great importance in the project. All rooms were designed with a special focus on the harmony between the architectural volumes and the customized furnishings. In particular, the spaces of the living room resulting from demolition were covered with cabinets that outline portals thanks to their resin floor portions and ribs, which portals virtually divide an actually completely open space. All portal ribs accommodate LED strips therein, which emphasize the perception of the opening. Throughout the house, the choice of lights was also made in order to draw the spaces beyond the simple selection of lighting fixtures.
